ZemiTek is seeking a highly skilled technical writer to join our team as a short-term consultant. In this role, the Technical Writer will create clear and concise materials, including reports and presentations, ensuring all content is thoroughly edited and proofread. They will collaborate with the project team to ensure information meets technical standards and is effectively communicated. The Technical Writer will conduct quality assurance checks to maintain error-free documentation and regularly update materials based on feedback. Efficient document management will be essential to keep information organized and accessible, supporting informed decision-making and achieving project goals.
The primary objective of this project is to evaluate select technical implementation engagements funded by the US Department of State and articulate programming good practices and lessons learned to guide engagements and activities during FY2024 and beyond. This evaluation will assess the results of interventions, especially with respect to derived logic models, to inform the framing of future logic models. Additionally, the project aims to evaluate the performance of these interventions against established targets for outputs and outcomes, contributing to changing market dynamics, increasing competition, and offering secure, high-quality, and cost-competitive options for countries and technology operators. This evaluation will inform officials guiding FY2024 and future program priorities, federal foreign assistance allocation, and may also influence legislative and executive branch reporting.

Period of Performance: 10/1/2024 -2/15/2025
Salary Range: $40.87 - $55.00/hourly (starting salary determined based on candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and education)
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Required
