Position Description

ZemiTek is currently seeking resumes to support an opportunity for the Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration (ITA).  The ITA helps create economic opportunities for American workers and businesses by promoting trade and investment, strengthening industry competitiveness, and ensuring fair trade. ITA works to improve the global business environment and helps U.S. exporters compete abroad.  

Responsibilities

Prospective candidates are expected to provide expertise in functional areas including:  

  • Senior-Level Support: Providing experienced Senior Project Managers and Consultants to lead initiatives, supervise staff, ensure compliance, and deliver strategic recommendations using proven methodologies (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Program Analysts: Delivering multi-level analysts with expertise in program design, performance tracking, budget analysis, and interagency coordination to support ITA initiatives across industries.
  • Program Management: Supply program managers and administrative specialists to oversee project performance, coordinate deliverables, and maintain program management plans that ensure accountability.
  • Subject Matter Experts: Proving subject matter expertise in organizational strategy, performance improvement, change management, and evaluation to support ITA leadership with high-level analysis and recommendations.
  • Supply Chain Experts: Economists, trade specialists, and data scientists who can analyze supply chain resilience, perform economic modeling, and deliver actionable insights for ITA’s global competitiveness mission.
  • OAS Operations Support: Administrative specialists, business intelligence analysts, program evaluation specialists, and graphic designers to strengthen ITA’s internal capacity and reporting.
  • OIE Operations Support: Delivering digital analytics analysts, performance management specialists, and communications experts to enhance ITA’s outreach, performance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with or within federal agencies, ideally the Department of Commerce, ITA, or other trade/economic agencies. 
  • Experience with international trade policy, supply chains, and global economic trends. 
  • Experience in policy analysis, economic impact studies, or interagency coordination relevant to trade and competitiveness. 
  • SME Level I: Associate’s Degree and approximately 5 years of related experience. 
  • SME Level II: Bachelor’s Degree and approximately 10 years of related experience. 
  • SME Level III-IV: Master’s Degree and approximately 15 years of related experience. 
  • SME Level V-VII: Master’s Degree, Doctoral level studies or Doctoral degree and approximately 20 years of related experience.
